Postpartum Doulas

A postpartum doula “mothers the mother” by providing experienced and non-judgemental guidance as you learn to care for your newborn. She can also provide you with assistance around the house and care for your older children while you bond with your new baby.

Your postpartum doula is a woman who assists you in the days and weeks following your baby’s birth. The role of the postpartum doula varies from family to family and day to day; the primary focus is to “mother the mother”.

Research has shown that new parents who feel supported, secure and cared for during the postpartum period, are more successful in adapting to parenthood than those who do not.

$35/hour + HST

After requesting a doula, you will be contacted by one of our doulas to arrange a no-obligation interview.

Postpartum doula services can be arranged before or after your baby’s birth.
